UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI PROVIDES DISASTER RECOVERY
INFORMATION FOR THOSE IN PHELPS COUNTY
United Way of Central Missouri will provide information of how to help those affected by the recent tornado in Phelps County and throughout the state.
Missouri 211 has been activated around the state for the impacted areas and they are in close contact with State Emergency Management, MOVOAD, American Red Cross and local emergency managers of all affected areas.
Missouri 211 is executing disaster intakes for survivors and their families, keeping inventory of open and active shelters and curating resources as they become available. If you or someone you know needs assistance or resources due to recent tornados dial 2-1-1 (or 1-800-427-4626) or online at 211helps.org to complete a disaster intake. 2-1-1 services include referrals for basic human needs, physical and mental health resources, and support for all who have been impacted. 2-1-1 is free, accessible 24/7 and completely confidential.
In addition, Missouri 211 has launched a donation link for counties affected in our footprint. Please direct individuals to https://www.211helps.org/2025-storms-tornados/ to support, sign up to volunteer, or complete a disaster intake.
The American Red Cross is currently supporting those impacted by the recent storms and tornadoes in our region. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Donations or assistance can be made through the local American Red Cross at https://www.redcross.org/local/missouri
United Way of Central Missouri will continue to update our community as necessary. We continue to express our deepest sympathies for those affected.
