Our committee volunteers come from all skill sets and walks of life, but what they share is an immeasurable passion for improving our community. They are bankers and public servants, teachers and business owners. They are our everyday heroes.

These volunteers are the face and voice of the campaign. They meet with business leaders to seek their support and assist internal campaign leaders to plan successful workplace campaigns.
These volunteers provide critical financial oversight and annually review the United Way of Central Missouri audit, IRS 990 and financial statements to make recommendations regarding agency funding and one-time grants.
These volunteers meet weekly for five weeks in the spring to review partner agency funding requests for the upcoming year. The panel volunteers review the agencies in the areas of quality programming, governance, finance, administration and the impact of their services on the community. Once the review process is complete, the committee makes their recommendations for funding to the United Way Board of Directors for final approval.
These volunteers are the creative geniuses behind the campaign. They plan campaign and event strategies, the campaign video, promotions and awareness building.
These volunteers provide additional financial oversight by reviewing Finance & Audit Committee recommendations, as well as overseeing fund allocation, Community Support Grants, Disaster Recovery Grants and new agency application processes.
These volunteers develop a vision in concert with the needs and dynamics of the community and chart short and long-term goals for the United Way of Central Missouri through a Strategic Plan.
